Billboard Magazine featuring Beyonce

This magazine is a popular form of media text given that it contains music genres from all the current charted music artists and bands. The masthead is in bold black lettering, with the BOA and D colored in. The cover of this magazine features a close up  picture of Beyonce, black and white themed which makes the title stand out. In the left, there is red, capital lettering explaining the contents of this months issue, which in my opinion creates a very deep sophisticated mood, emphasizing Beyonce's work and appeals to teenagers and young adults who are interested in current chart music. Towards the bottom, in white visual text is her name, and beneath that sub-heading is a quote 'i want to be an icon'. In black lettering, suggesting she wants to be an inspiration role model, and someone who wants to be remembered. 'to go down in history'. 

Rolling Stone

This magazine uses a very similar format to many music magazines in that is shares similar formats of a particular music genre that features on the front cover. The masthead of this magazine is orange and the picture of the front cover is emphasized on 'The Red Hot Chili Peppers' which is a soft rock music genre and appeals to young rockers. Their signature is located in the middle of this is cover and is aimed at rock enthusiasts.

Vibe

Vibe is a popular music magazine, featuring Eminem on the front cover. The masthead for this magazine is a vibrant red colour, black at the top and then filtering through to bright red towards the bottom. This magazine appeals to youths and young adults who take in interest in the genre 'rap' style music. The magazine gives a cool vibe and its target audience is mainly aimed at the male gender.
