Plantsbrook Magazine Design

The masthead is in black capital lettering, not bold and in a formal font. This magazine was a handmade magazine and therefore does not look professional, and is more suited to a younger target audience.

In the top right hand corner, contains the Plantsbrook school logo, which is a clear, recognizable feature which makes students familiar with the magazine. This magazine cover is dull as it lacks colour, however the masthead is in relevant plantsbrook colours, Black and Red.

In the bottom right hand corner is a 'puff' and for this particular design, a free plantsbrook pen is available with the purchase of the magazine.

Contact details are also located on this poster, in the bottom right underneath the puff is the school telephone number, and in the top left hand corner is the current date of the magazine and the school address.
The main image of this design is a picture of a piece of paper, titles 'Personal Statement' which represents the contents of the magazine, focusing on students who are thinking about going to university. The anchorage text is above the main image in orange capital lettering, which offers advice, this can be relatable to the target audience who are going through application process and want some advice.

The purpose of this design is aimed and sixth form students at plantsbrook school and focuses on the intention of going to university. The magazine contains current information about the school and the new school building, A-level results, school attire and general advice into future careers and university aspirations.
